My last blog comment was on 20 December, since when I have been busy on other things: from changing accommodation and organising building work, to having an accident, to lecturing on matrix algebra. Right now, I could be mistaken for John Hegley’s character Eddie, who doesn’t like furniture.[1] So, there are some more jobs ahead before resuming my analysis of the economics of imperialism.

[1] A classic song, which can be heard on YouTube here: http://www.nme.com/nme-video/youtube/id/igFkYJ_XeOY/search/evergreens. The punch line is (close your eyes now, if you want to listen to the video): “Eddie don’t like furniture. If you give him any for Christmas, he’ll return it to yer.”
